
We have all been told to wait 30 minutes after drinking acidic beverages to brush our teeth. New research proves that regardless of whether or not you brush your teeth, the damage is already done.
Within the first 30 seconds of contact with acidic beverages, permanent damage is done to the enamel and no amount of brushing can fix it.
Acidic beverages mentioned in the study were sodas, sports drinks and fruit juices.
