Many of us are a bit nervous about going to see the dentist, or any doctor for that matter. One Wisconsin dentist is trying to alleviate some anxiety in her patients by bringing in therapy dogs for procedures. These specially trained dogs are familiar with the sounds and smells of a dental procedure room and remain calmly at your side.
Would snugglilng and petting a dog during a procedure make you less on edge?
As an animal lover, having a therapy dog in the chair with me would be comforting to say the least.Personally, it would help me to relax and take my mind off of what is going on around me. Though I suppose it also comes down to your comfort level with dogs.
